Initiatives

Grants
Save The Tiger Fund invests money in conservation partners working to
save wild tigers. Grantees compete for funds in response to a bi-annual
request for proposals and Save The Tiger Fund staff reccommend proposals
to Save The Tiger Fund Council, a seasoned group of international tiger
experts, who discuss the slate final decisions on funding
allocations. Grant-making is the cornerstone initiative
of Save The Tiger Fund, and we have made significant achievements over
the last 10 years. Search the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's
online conservation grant library here.
Conservation Priorities - Tiger Conservation Landscapes (TCL's)
Responsible investments in our partners are scientifically informed
by the best most up-to-date analysis of where tigers remain in the wild
and where they have the maximum likelihood of survival through
a Tiger Conservation Landscapes analysis (TCL). Find out more about
TCL's here.
Campaign Against Tiger Trafficking (CATT)
Poaching and trafficking is one of the most significant emerging
threats to tiger conservation that cannot be tackled at the landscape
level alone. The Campaign Against Tiger Trafficking (CATT) is an
initiative of Save The Tiger Fund designed to stop both demand and
supply of tiger parts globally. Find out more about CATT here.
Evaluation
We have recently completed a 10-year evaluation of our investments.
The results will be used to improve our grant making strategy based on
the lessons learned from the past. In the future we will focus
prospective grantees on demonstrating meaningful outcomes that will make
the difference for tigers which are an umbrella species for biodiversity
conservation through much of Asia. Find out more about STF's evaluation
program here.
